  • This competition is open to Indian school students from grades 9 - 11
  • Registration must be completed  only by the school or a teacher representing a school. Students cannot register for the competition themselves.
  • The entry form (including the details of the students and the link to their video on YouTube) must be completed by the school or teacher.
  • Students must choose one of the following themes:
    • Earth Sciences: The precious balance of life on Earth 
    • Story-telling through Dance
    • Nanotechnology: Creating futuristic technology 
    • Construction Management: Dreams to reality - managing construction for better, faster, cheaper buildings and bridges
    • Aerospace: An exploration of space through robotics.
  • Schools can nominate a maximum of five teams (one for each theme)
  • Each team can have up to 2 students
  • One student cannot be a part of two teams
  • Teams must produce a short video in English, not more 3 minutes long, on their chosen theme and upload it to YouTube.
  • The YouTube links will then need to be submitted by the teacher when the submission portal opens from, 15 - 25 February 2017.
  • It is mandatory to submit the entries only through the submission portal on the website. Links sent by email to the organisers/partners will not be considered for the competition.
  • Winning students will need to have parental permission to enter the competition and necessary paperwork to be able to travel to Australia between April and July 2017. It is the responsibility of the school to ensure that the teams they enter have the necessary permission when submitting their video and the required paperwork and travel documents for travel, should they be successful.

  • Registering schools/teachers are requested to use only the official school email address and not personal email ids for registration.

Five grand prizes

Each winning team will receive return flights from India to Australia for two students and one accompanying teacher. Accommodation, food and a study course are also included.

The winners for the best video on Earth Sciences will receive a study visit hosted by Australian National University.

The winners for the best video on Story-telling through Dance will receive a study visit hosted by Macquarie University.

The winners for the best video on Nanotechnology will receive a study visit hosted by RMIT

The winners for the best video on Construction Management will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Southern Queensland.

The winners for the best video on Aerospace will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Sydney.

The competition is organised by Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Travel is sponsored by Allianz, Urbanest and Credila.

 The competition closing date is 25 February 2017
