NCFE's National Financial Literacy Assessment Test (NCFE-NFLAT) is a step in that direction. This is a first of its kind national level test, conducted by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), to measure the level of financial literacy among school students. Through this test NCFE aims to encourage school students to obtain basic financial skills which are essential for their full participation in society.
Targeted towards school students of Class VIII to X, NCFE-NFLAT would assess their knowledge on topics such as Money, Savings, Banking, Budgeting, Insurance, Investment, Retirement planning, etc. The test is conducted online across the country, both in English and Hindi.
NCFE-NFLAT was launched in the year 2013-14 by the NCFE which is setup as part of NISM, with support from all financial sector regulators i.e. RBI, SEBI, IRDA, PFRDA and FMC for implementation of the National Strategy for Financial Education (NSFE).
 
 
Registration Opens: 7th October 2014
Registration Closes: 7th November 2014
Test Date: 6th & 7th December 2014
Result Declaration: 19th December 2014

Medal, Tablet and Certificate of AccomplishmentTop 15 students from all regions (North, South, East, West and Central) i.e. Top 3 students from each region, after excluding the national level winners
Rs. 2000/- and Special Recognition CertificateTop 100 students at national level after excluding the 20 national and regional level winners
Merit CertificateTop 50% of all students participating in the test
Certificate of ParticipationAll the remaining students participating in the test


For Schools
Rs. 25000/- and a Trophy/ ShieldTop 25 schools based on highest number of student participation (not registration) in the test
Rs. 25000/- and a Trophy/ ShieldTop 5 schools who will have highest number of students in the top 50% (Merit Certificate category)
To be eligible a school must have at least 50 students participating in the test

How to Register
Registration opens from 07-Oct-2014 and closes on 07-Nov-2014 and is on first come first serve basis. All students will have to register through their schools. No individual student registration would be entertained. Schools are requested to register themselves first and then register their students.
